CANYON CREST ACADEMY FOUNDATION BOARD JOB DESCRIPTION SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE COORDINATOR

OVERVIEW The Social Media/Website Coordinator is a non-voting member of the Marketing/PR committee of the Board, who through the use of social media platforms such as the CCA Foundation website, Facebook, Twitter, and Blogging, helps both the parents and the community gain a better understanding of Canyon Crest Academy its programs and needs to encourage financial support of the school.

OBJECTIVES Establish social media connections with the community to better publicize the goals, objectives and successes of the Canyon Crest Academy Foundation.

RESPONSIBILITIES • • • • • •

Support objectives of the VP Marketing and programs set forth at the beginning of each academic year Pursue ongoing communications with the public through appropriate social media outlets on behalf of the Foundation Use social media marketing techniques to increase visibility, membership and traffic for the Foundation and its events Manage an online calendar of events for all board events and programs in coordination with the VP Marketing Manage all communications and data on the Foundation website and blog and post information and communications on a timely basis (usually within 7 days of request) Distribute press materials and event announcements on social media platforms and media outlets.

Support the Board mission Make a financial contribution to the Foundation Participate in board and fund-raising activities Know the general annual priorities set by the principal and staff Be able to articulate the non-designated giving policy Be available for a two year term
