Goal 1: Focus on Student Success Performance Objective 1: Smith Elementary will prepare 21st century learners and leaders for graduation and postsecondary success, by showing growth or on-track achievement to earn the MET-MASTERY accountability rating, and to earn at least two distinctions. Smith Elementary students will perform as engaged, self-directed, digital learners during well planned instructional periods that align with researchbased ACADEMIC best practices for 90% of the time. Performance Objective 2: Each nine weeks, 100% of Smith Elementary students will show growth, and at least 75% will perform 70% mastery or better on the aggregate of district tests. Performance Objective 3: Lesson activities which include digital tools used to accelerate achievement, will increase by at least a 5%. Performance Objective 4: Classroom and common areas for learning will transform to intentional learning spaces, based on a specific criteria of design qualities and the rubric for T-TESS that meets the criteria for student-centered learning.

Goal 2: Focus on Students, Families, and Community Performance Objective 1: Focus on Students, Families, and Community: Smith Elementary will build positive partnerships with families and COMMUNITY to optimize positive parent - child - teacher interactions in the school. Performance Objective 2: Smith Elementary will build positive relationships between students, teachers and families, by norming meaningful social and emotional interactions.

Goal 3: Focus on Operational Excellence Performance Objective 1: Focus on OPERATIONAL Excellence: Smith Elementary will continually improve, and will provide learning environments and structures designed to promote effective and efficient systems. The Smith Elementary faculty will use a systematic approach for internal and external communications and operations focused on timeliness, frequency and accuracy. Performance Objective 2: In response to additional state and federal improvement planning requirements not addressed elsewhere in this plan, Smith Elementary School will be 100% compliant by implementing the following strategies.

Performance Objective 1: Focus on Employees and Organizational Improvement: Smith Elementary will recruit, develop, and retain an exceptional, highly-motivated staff to optimize student engagement and learning. Smith Elementary staff will build a common vision through intensive and sustained collaboration, distributing leadership throughout the school and providing for leadership succession.

Goal 5: Focus on Financial Stewardship Performance Objective 1: Smith Elementary will actively contribute to financial stewardship that optimizes access to vital resources. Smith Elementary will review budget expenditures based on needs assessments.
