Her favorite part of the club is competing. This year will be her second year in FBLA. Last year Shianne went to both Regionals and Nationals. Last year Regionals was in Vail, CO. This year Nationals will be in Maryland. Shianne joined FBLA because she wanted to add more organizations for college applications. She thinks that people should join because it is super fun!

She is the treasurer of the club. She has been to Nationals once this year and once as a freshman. Anna said you should join because you learn enhanced leadership skills. She said there's no best part because it's all the best. Her goal for this year is to go to Nationals.

One of the projects that you can do in your chapter is to show animals. 4-H is another good way to be involved in agriculture. So join FFA; what is there to lose?

HS Sports Em ily Jelden HS VB By: Er in An der sen Emily Jelden is on the high school volleyball team, and she plays on the varsity team. On the team she is the libero, which is also her favorite position. Emily is a very good jump server; she can hit, but in her words ?just not very well.? She can not pick between her coaches from last year or this year because she loves them all. Her practices are rough when they condition, but they are totally ready to kick butt this season. Emily first started loving and being amazing at volleyball in her fourth grade year.

High Sch ool Foot ball By Cade Killin Chase Beckner, who wears number 61, plays center and nose tackle for the Dragons. Chase?s goal for the team is to win the championship, and his own personal goal is to start receiving college offers. Chase?s favorite coach and role model is Coach Sonnemaker. One thing the team needs to work on is communication, according to Chase. During practice, he likes to tackle more than anything. When asked what play he would want to say, Chase said, ?Coach, we need to get that center sneak!?

HS Golf By: Er in An der sen Mason King is a high school golfer. He is in 10th grade and is a very good golfer. He joined golf about eight years ago, and he joined because he liked it. He likes both his coaches, but his favorite is Audrey Ault, the assistant. His favorite club is the driver, and his favorite place to play is Ballyneal. His goal for this year ?s golf season is to go to state. He would like state to be held in Greeley.

Sof t ball By: Clover Adler Sarah Razo plays on the Holyoke High School softball team. Sarah has been playing softball for five years, and the position she usually plays is pitcher. She says the the team's biggest opponent is Limon, but she thinks that her team is ready for this year ?s softball season. The team's highest score in a game is 23 runs. Sarah?s favorite coach is Kendra Schlachter, and her goal for this year is to go to state. Another sport Sarah enjoys playing is basketball.

Her number is 30, and her favorite position is setter, which is the position that she plays. She thinks that the team is ?getting there? for the games, but still has a little practicing to do. Lauren thinks that playing with her team is very enjoyable. She adds that some practices are hard, but others aren?t. Other sports that Lauren plays are basketball, softball, track, and summer volleyball.

JH Foot ball By Stephen Murray Max Kleve, #9, plays quarterback and linebacker on B team and safety on A team. Mas says playing football helps build character and it?s really fun. The best thing about football is getting to let your anger out and hit someone hard. Max thinks the team is looking good for the season. He felt confident about the game last night. Max felt confident because he felt coach has him in a good position. The score for Thursday?s game was A team 12-18, the Burlington Cougars won, and B team tied with a score of 6-6.

Pr o Spor t s NBA By Ethan Johnson The NBA season ended on June 17 with the Golden State Warriors winning the NBA Finals. They won the seven-game series in 5 games against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Even though games are over for the offseason, the league is still busy. A lot of big moves in free agency has helped give the name of this offseason ?The Greatest Offseason of All-Time.? This started with the trade of Jimmy Butler from the Bulls to the Timberwolves. From there everything escalated. The next big move was D'angelo Russell getting traded to the Nets from the Lakers. Then one of the most surprising moves of the whole offseason is that Paul George got traded from the Pacers to the OKC Thunder to make an explosive dynamic duo with MVP winner Russell Westbrook. Another big move is that Chris Paul got traded to the Rockets from the Clippers to team up with the MVP runner-up James Harden. Finally, Kyrie Irving of the Cavaliers was going to get traded to the Celtics for their star Isiah Thomas. But a day later the Cavs were looking to either decline the trade or have the Celtics give more assets because Isiah Thomas had a hip injury and they weren?t sure if he was healthy enough.

NFL By Tuff Sigler Last Saturday, the Denver Broncos beat the Green Bay Packers 20-17. It was a very close game, but it was still in the preseason, so the starters were not playing a lot. When they were playing, Jamaal Charles left the field and went into the injury tent after a big hit. He came out and the coach reported that they were taking him through the concussion protocol, but he tested negative. As of right now, the Broncos have come out strong and remain undefeated.

Arrow is about a billionaire named Oliver Queen getting stranded on Lian Yu, a somewhat deserted island. After spending five years on Lian Yu, he finally gets rescued by a Chinese boat. When Oliver returns to Star City, he tries to right his father ?s wrongdoings. Not everyone in the city is fond of ?The Hood,? as Oliver is known, as he is a vigilante. The Green Arrow is not alone, however. He has help from his sister, the Black Canaries, John Diggle, and Felicity Smoak. The network is currently in production of season six, but if you are looking for something new to watch, I highly recommend watching all five seasons on Netflix now.

On the other hand, I like the Easton bats because they have better grips.The design of the Easton bats is really cool although the bright colors on the Louisville bats are cool too. The sound from the Louisville bats is super super cool! It sounds like a really cool pinging sound. To me, I would prefer using a Louisville bat rather than an Easton bat.

The Fitbit Charge is a handy tool to track your fitness and count your steps and your calories! The Charge has some flaws, though. The Fitbit website claims to have a battery life from seven to ten days; however, in my experience, my battery life is three to four days. That is still a very good battery life, just not as good as it claims. The Charge, in my opinion, is very accurate in steps, but not that good at stairs. Some of its features are all day activity tracking, watch, caller ID, and alarms. I rate the Fitbit Charge a ? stars.

The hurricane has claimed two lives. It may take years for the area to recover as the freeways are still underwater. There are 3,000 members of the Texas National Guard coming with help, rescuers, and equipment. The Holyoke First Baptist church is planning to take a trailer full of food and clothes to the victims in Houston, Texas.

China claims they won because India just backed down because they couldn't keep going. This fight started in mid-June when India did not want to share some land with China. M yst er y Haze By Cade Killin On Sunday, a mysterious chemical haze appeared on the southern English coast, resulting in more than 130 people going to the hospital. The cloud stayed in the same spot all day due to the lack of wind. It apparently smelled like burnt plastic. The cloud has since dissolved, but the cause is still a mystery. Some theories include pollution drifting to England from France, the pollution from cars mixing with sunlight which causes smog, or a ship in the English Channel.
