Pro Sports NFL By: Tu f f Sigler Last Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a 14-point comeback to beat the Indianapolis Colts 20-17. Steeler rookie JuJu Smith put up the final touchdown to tie the game. The Colts took the ball with about five minutes left, and then they threw an interception with only one minute left. The Steelers threw a 67-yard pass to Antonio Brown to get into field goal range. With only four seconds left, Chris Boswell kicked the winning field goal. Also on Sunday, the San Francisco 49?ers won their first game against the New York Giants. Marquise Goodwin played a spectacular game, even catching the game-winning touchdown, despite recently announcing the premature death of his son. The tragic event did not show in Goodwin?s performance Sunday. The 49?ers ended up winning their first game 31-21.
Baller z Post By: Et h an Joh n son This last week, the college basketball season has gotten off to a quick start. I am personally very excited for this season because I think that this is one of the more loaded classes in recent years. There is a number of amazing players in this class that are so much fun to watch. Last Tuesday there were two classic games, one of which featured number 2 Michigan State playing number 1 Duke. The end score was 88-81 and Duke took the win over Michigan State. Later that night, number 4 Kansas played the number 7 ranked team, Kentucky. The end score was 65-61 with Kansas taking the win.
NHL By: Cade Killin Our own Colorado Avalanche seem to be having another disappointing season. They currently have one of the worst records in the NHL, and have lost three games in a row. They played the Ottawa Senators last Friday and Saturday in Sweden, and lost both games. They are not near as bad as the Arizona Coyotes, who have only won two of their games. The newest team in the league, the Vegas Golden Nights, are having a good season. They are second in the Pacific Division behind the Los Angeles Kings.

FUNPAGE Two sisters are we, one is dark and one is fair In twin towers dwelling we're quite the pair One from land and one from sea Tell us truly, who are we? A man is trapped in a room. The room has only two possible exits: two doors. Through the first door there is a room constructed from magnifying glass. The blazing hot sun instantly fries anything or anyone that enters. Through the second door there is a fire-breathing dragon. How does the man escape?
If you think that you have the answer, then go tell Mrs.Schroetlin and get a dragon dollar!
Review s Wh it e Boar ds M ax Kleve White boards are one of the best tools in a classroom. The reason they are so cool is that they can be marked on (only with a certain marker) and erased easily. The white board was invented by Jerry Woolf. The teacher with the best white board is Mrs. Schroetlin, because it is used for the most important things, and the most important things only. I would rate white boards four out of five stars because if you write on them in Sharpie, it won?t come off.

World News Zim babw e Cou p By: Cade Killin The African nation of Zimbabwe is currently experiencing what appears to be a military coup. The military has blocked roads leading to government buildings and taken over state-run media. The president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, is reportedly not being targeted, but he is stuck inside his house. The military has said they are trying to prevent Mugabe?s wife, Grace Mugabe, from succeeding as president. This is a possibility since Mugabe fired his vice president. The vice president was expected to succeed Mugabe. Ch ild Neglect Sen t en ce
By: Tuff Sigler Earlier this week, Oklahoma parents Kevin Fowler and Aislyn Miller were sentenced to 130 years in jail for neglecting their 9-month-old twins. ?It?s my estimation that your kids were on death?s door,? Judge William Musseman said to the parents. ?It is the worst case of child neglect I have ever seen.? The two young girls were found locked in their room with diaper rash, bedsores, feces in their ears, and even infected fingers from very tightly wrapped hair. In addition, these two girls were very underfed, weighing in at only 8 pounds and being described as looking like ?skeletons.? A jury convicted the parents of 5 counts of child neglect and a total of 130 years in prison.
Habit able Plan et ? By: Emmanuel (EV) Vasquez
Astronomers announced on Wednesday the discovery of an Earth-size planet around a small red star in our corner of the galaxy. The planet could hold liquid water and conditions favorable for life. The astronomers did not directly see the planet but instead used a telescope in Chile to measure wobbles in the wavelengths of light coming from the star. This recently discovered planet was named Ross 128. Scientists believe that Ross is about 5 billion years older than our solar system, but the planet itself is 10 billion years old. Even though Ross 128 may be habitable, it is about 4.2 light-years away from Earth.

The U.S. is willing to negotiate with North Korea, but only if the nuclear program there shuts down. U.S. defense secretary Jim Mattis said, ?There could be an opportunity for talks between North Korea and the United States if Pyongyang stops testing and developing its nuclear and missiles program.? U.S. President Donald Trump visited Seoul, South Korea last week, and he warned North Korea that he isn?t afraid to use his full military to stop any attack at any time. Jim Mattis plans to visit the U.S. Northern Command, and the Northern American Aerospace Defence Command in Colorado.

Cooper Updat e By: Er in An der sen
Cooper Goldenstein got in a car accident on October 28th.At the intersection of county roads 20 and 25, he and his grandpa ran into a grain truck that did not yield the right of way. Thankfully, the grain truck was not full. Cooper is now doing okay. The incision on his stomach is sore and he has a fractured left ankle. He says that when the accident
happened, he was really surprised and a little frightened. His stomach hurt and so did his ankle. Cooper ?s phone was still in his lap with 1% battery, so he called his mom, who called the police. Cooper is getting better every day and is planning to come back to school for a few classes over the next few days. His habit of putting on his seatbelt even when no one tells him to saved his life. Also, staying calm in an accident helped him to think clearly.
