By Cade Killin Miles Sprague, who plays running back and linebacker for the Dragons, thinks that guard Tuff Sigler is the most improved player from last year. This year Miles wants to run the ball better and win all of the remaining games. He also thinks the team needs to block better. Miles says the toughest opponent this year has been Burlington. In practice, Miles thinks Oklahoma is the best drill. Miles?favorite play is called Big Boy, where guard Aidyn Shafer lines up at running back. The score for Thursday's game against Wray was Holyoke 6 and Wray 14 for the A game, and the B team won, althoigh the game got rained out.

Prof essi onal Sports Foot ball By Tuff Sigler Last Sunday, the Steelers beat the Browns 21-18. This was a first game debut for TJWatt. In his first game starting, TJhad 5 tackles, 2 sacks, and an interception. This caused the Steelers to have a really good defense, with the occasional slip. On a different level, Louisiana Tech was trailing Mississippi State 57-14. Late in the fourth quarter, Louisiana had the ball on the 6 yard line, ready to score. The center messed up the snap, sending it to the 50 yard line, but instead of picking it up, everyone kept kicking it, making it 3rd and 93. This was possibly the biggest blooper in college football.

The Colorado Rockies played at the Arizona Diamondbacks?home, and it was a very close game for Colorado; the Rockies won 5-4. The 2018 Major League Baseball season is assured to be a historic season when it starts on March 29, 2018. The season will feature the first full slate of Opening Day.
By Ethan Johnson With the recent trade including Isaiah Thomas and Kyrie Irving, the Cavs were concerned with Isaiah Thomas?s hip injury from the playoffs last season. People think that his injury is still pretty serious. Because of this injury, for the first couple weeks of the season, Derrick Rose will most likely be starting over Thomas. There have been rumors that Dwyane Wade will get bought out, and he said his top signing destination would be Cleveland to play with Lebron again. The Los Angeles Lakers have decided since Kobe played with 2 numbers throughout his career that they will most likely retire both 8 and 24. I will be back with next week's Ballerz Post.

Review s Las Par r a?s By: Alma Alejandre Las Parra?s is a new Mexican restaurant here in town close to Pizza Pad. Once you open the door, you can feel the hot air that comes from inside, but the smell of the store is satisfying. It does not have as many decorations as I would expect for a Mexican restaurant; it has less than usual, and it is not as neat. The food is really delicious and well made, though. I would rate this restaurant only three stars.

These wonderful colored pencils have high quality pigments for rich colors. They are smooth, and you do not need to press hard to get a lot of color. They are super easy to sharpen and hardly break when you sharpen them because they have a thick lead. I recommend them to any person who loves art. Prismacolors may be expensive, but it just depends on how many you get. You can get these pencils at Walmart or Amazon.
iPh on es By: Emma Thompson In the modern era, there is a new type of technology called the iPhone. It is almost like a computer in the palm of your hand. Rather than having a navigator, you have Siri. Siri is your personal assistant, whether you are having her try to find the new local restaurant or the stats of your favorite MLB team. You can do all sorts of thing with your iphone, such as Facetime, Maps, Safari, and many other things. I would definitely recommend getting an iPhone rather than any other brand of phone.
Gat or ade By: Erin Andersen Gatorade is very tasty energy drink. Most people drink Gatorade during a sporting event or when they are working out. Gatorade comes in many unique flavors, but can also come in some very simple ones. A lot of people would say their favorite flavor is orange, yellow, or purple. You can get Gatorade at any convenience store for under $2.00. I would give Gatorade 4 out of 5 stars. I would give it only 4 stars because it can be very sticky if you spill it, but it is very tasty.

Wor ld New s Ch icago Gir l Fou n d Dead By Tu f f Sigler Chicago resident Kenneka Jenkins attended a party inside the Crown Plaza Hotel. The last the family heard of Kenneka was at 1:30 in the morning when she texted her sister. Later in the night, about 4:00, her friends called her parents because Kenneka had disappeared. After over a day of looking, police finally found Kenneka?s body stuffed into a freezer. Kenneka?s mom was very angry with the hotel staff because they would not look at security cameras until the police arrived. Her mom argues that they may found her body earlier, possibly alive. No one knows if she froze to death or if she was wounded and stuffed in there for storage. The autopsy has been completed but the medical examiner says they need further study on her cause of death.
San Diego Hepat it is Ou t br eak By Cade Killin San Diego is experiencing a deadly hepatitis A outbreak, mostly affecting homeless people living on the streets. To combat the disease, the city is trying to clean the streets and provide the homeless with ways to clean themselves up, such as 40 hand-washing stations where many homeless gather. The San Diego Police will provide assistance in getting to mobile vaccination teams, and vaccination clinics will be provided at some of the city?s public libraries. Hepatitis A is transmitted through contaminated food or water.
M exican War of In depen den ce By Alm a Alejan dr e The Mexican Independence War ended the rule of Spain in 1821 in the territory of New Spain. 9/ 11 By Kyr ah M cCon ach ie 16 years ago on September 11, 2001 was a tragic day for everyone; a day that will be remembered by all Americans. 9/11 is the day when al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 jets. Two of them flew into the World Trade Center ?s twin towers, the third one into the Pentagon, and the fourth one was saved by passengers and crashed into a field so it would not destroy the next target. This terrible tragedy started the Afghanistan War. To this day, all the people who saved others or died trying will be remembered forever.

Holyoke?s Got Talent was a new addition to homecoming this year, and Joey Beckner represented the freshman class. Joey played the piano, but he claims he only did it because his class forced him to. He thinks the freshmen have a chance at winning homecoming. Other class acts included seniors Andy and Anthony, who did Tica?s makeup, and sophomore Brenna Gatton, who sang a song. Mr. Betley and Colby Purkeypile both played their guitars. Great job everyone!
Homecoming week is an adventure in school spirit. This year we celebrated holidays, country vs country club, people of the sea and class colors. The week started out slowly with no one finding the hidden dragon, but enthusiasm built as the week went on. On Thursday, everyone got to watch as the high school classes competed in a talent competition with everything from comedy to an awesome guitar solo by Colby Purkeypile. With many different ways for the classes to earn points for the week, the senior class was ahead on Thursday with only the parade floats left to be judged. Looks like seniors are going to win this year!
