Pr o Spor t s Baller z Post By Ethan Johnson Last weekend was the much anticipated NBA All-Star weekend. The All-Star weekend debuted the new all-star format, in which there are two captains who choose teams from a player pool. This change was made to improve competitive nature of the game. This year the captains were Lebron James and Stephen Curry. This change of format worked very well as shown in the game. Throughout the game, there was much more aggressive defense being played than in past years. The game actually came down to the final shot in the final 10 seconds. But in the end, Lebron?s team won with a score of 148-145.

NHL By Cade Killin On Tuesday, the Avalanche won a thriller in Vancouver. The Vancouver Canucks were up 4-3 in the game, but then Colorado scored a third-period goal to tie the game. The game was tied at four at the end of regulation play, so the game went into overtime. Nathan MacKinnon, the Avs?star center, netted an overtime goal to beat Vancouver 5-4. The win improved the Avalanche?s record to 32-23-4 on the season. With the loss, Vancouver fell to a 23-30-7 record. Colorado plays next tomorrow, Saturday, against the Calgary Flames in Calgary.

FFA Week Bar n yar d Day By: Kyr ah M cCon ach ie Barnyard Day is on Friday the 23rd. Kaitlyn Kent is one of many people bringing an animal to Barnyard Day. She is bringing a goat that was born at the end of January. It can be hard work at times owning a goat, Kaitlyn says.

It is not her first time bringing a goat to Barnyard Day. Her goat does not have a name. The goats she raises are for meat purposes. The best part of Barnyard Day for her is getting to teach kids about animals, but the hardest part of the day is setting up and cleaning.

Thursday, February 22nd was Drive Your Tractor to School Day for FFA. There were about six people who drove their tractors to school. The tractors that arrived at school included a Case, an Army Truck, a John Deere, and a Ford. The people who drove them were Tobin Moore, Rebecca Owens, Gage Tuell, Kaitlyn Kent, Trent Huffman, and Corben McCallum. They all said that it took a lot more time to get to school than a regular day. Most of the FFA members have driven a tractor to school before.

The Ag Olympics was held Tuesday, February 20th. The Ag Olympics are when most of the students in the school go to the Ag shop and see what a life of a farmer is like. The games consist of five events. The first event was tube irrigation, the second was hammering nails, the third was stacking hay bales, the fourth was stacking panels, and the fifth was roping. The scoring was based on fastest time for each event. In first place were the sophomores, and second place went to the seniors. Third place went to the eighth graders.

Reviews Sw eeTar t s By: Tu f f Sigler SweeTarts are a very good tasting candy. These candies are very small but are very common when it comes to Halloween or just receiving candy in general. SweeTarts come in 5 different flavors: lemon, orange, cherry, grape, and lime. They were invented in 1962 and became the most popular candy in America. I can say that they are still one of, if not the most, popular candies throughout America today.

Even though Zentangle is one of the older type of arts, it is still a great design. Zentangle is where you make beautiful artwork with repeating patterns. Sometimes it can be really relaxing if you are stressed. I personally have been using Zentangle just for fun. You can use Zentangle off the internet or you could make your own. There are even cards you can buy that have Zentangle designs on them. I would rate Zentangle a three out of five because it can be very time consuming and needs patience.

By: Er in An der sen Piggy banks are an awesome object to keep money in without anyone knowing about it. Piggy banks are any animal or object, usually in the shape of a pig. There is a little slot at the top and a plug at the bottom. When you need your money, you take out the plug and get your money out. You can usually find them at any toy store. I would rate them four out of five stars because they are very useful, but they can break very easily if you drop them.

M ou n t ain Dew Ice By: St eph en M u r r ay Mountain Dew Ice is a new soda that has a lemon-lime taste, and it?s a clear soda. So basically it?s a version of Sprite and 7-Up, but Mountain Dew is trying to make a new product. This new line of soda came out on January 15th. Mountain Dew Ice and Doritos were featured together in a commercial in the 2018 Super Bowl. In my opinion this new soda is a great-tasting soda, and could potentially be better than Sprite or 7-Up.

UK Ch ick en Sh or t age By: Cade Killin Kentucky Fried Chicken is being forced to close most of its 900 restaurants in the United Kingdom due to a shortage of chicken. The reason for the shortage is because KFC switched their distributor to DHL. DHL is having troubles shipping all of KFC?s chicken to the restaurants. Due to this, many stores are closing, and the few that remain are either operating on short hours or limited menus. DHL and KFC are trying very hard to find a solution to the problem and open restaurants back up again .
